i just came across your post and yes, i thought they looked very similar. In fact i thought that maybe the same agency had created them and maybe offered a 2 for 1 deal.

Very similar indeed – that’s why Ford threatened to pull its ad spend if Freeview went ahead and ran the ad but the networks ignored them or at least refused to acknowledge the similarity

Nope, not just you – maybe it’s an economy of scale thing? A collaboration with a 2 ads for the price of 1 incentive programme?

Or maybe stop frame animation is making a comeback? … yeah, that could be it.
